Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American Actor, best known as a character on the well-known TV series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began during his college years. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been in films as well as on TV but it's the characters portrayed on small screens which have earned him acclaim. He can play each of the characters on behalf of the police and the other. This is what makes him so popular. He was the character of the serial killer on the first TV show he appeared in and later played the role an NYPD detective.
